Con el objetivo de resguardar a los sectores más desprotegidos frente a las bajas temperaturas, el Gobierno del Estado, mediante la iniciativa Caravana Abrigando CorThe initiative has provided, to date, 40,710 food packages to an equal number of families, along with 75,686 blankets across 272 communities in various regions of Veracruz.
As part of this humanitarian endeavor, in the High Mountains region, the Caravan visited ten communities in the municipality of La Perla on Tuesday, distributing 650 food packages and 1,480 blankets. Additionally, in seven localities of Nogales, 520 food packages and 1,140 blankets were handed out.
In the municipality of Tlilapan, seven communities received assistance, with 1,436 food packages and 2,400 blankets distributed. Furthermore, staff from the Sanitary Jurisdiction VII, based in Orizaba, administered 73 vaccines against influenza and COVID-19, while the Secretariat of Public Security set up a Mobile Kitchen to provide hot meals.
